Eligibility Participants must be 16 years or older on the day of the event.

Participation & Liability By entering, participants acknowledge that they take part at their own risk. NeoPent Challenge accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from participation. Participants consent to emergency first aid, medical treatment and transportation if required. Long-distance participants acknowledge that course cut-off times apply and failure to meet them may result in removal without refund.

Insurance Participants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance. Personal Accident Cover is recommended. A mandatory €6 Personal Accident Insurance Fee applies, providing cover under an AIG Ireland policy, including up to €1,500 medical expenses for event-related injuries (loss of income excluded). 

Health Participants should ensure they are medically fit to take part. Anyone with health concerns should consult a medical professional before registering.

Participation in the NeoPent Challenge involves strenuous physical activity and inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury, permanent disability, or death. By registering for and participating in the event, each participant acknowledges these risks and voluntarily accepts them.

Participants confirm that they are medically fit to participate and have not been advised by a qualified medical professional against taking part in the event. Participants agree to exercise reasonable care for their own safety and to comply with all event rules, instructions, signage, and directions given by event officials, marshals, or medical personnel.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NeoPent Challenge, its organisers, directors, employees, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, landowners, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, or expense arising from participation in the event, except where such liability arises as a direct result of their negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Participants acknowledge that they participate entirely at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate personal accident, medical, and travel insurance where required.

Refunds Entries are non-refundable as registrations are for a specific event and date.

Participant Changes Participant replacements may be completed online up to 7 days before the event. Within 7 days, replacements can only be processed at the Registration Tent on event day. Contact info@neopentchallenge.com for assistance.

Event Rescheduling NeoPent Challenge may postpone or reschedule an event due to red weather alerts or unsafe conditions. Where possible, decisions will be announced by 6pm the previous day via email, SMS, website and social media. Participants may either transfer to the new date or request a full refund within 72 hours of the announcement. NeoPent Challenge is not liable for accommodation, travel or other associated costs.

Code of Conduct NeoPent Challenge promotes a safe and respectful environment. Participants displaying antisocial behaviour, including abuse, harassment, violence, intoxication or theft, may be removed without refund.

Event Fees Entry includes registration and insurance. Optional extras may include parking, shuttle buses, merchandise and priority wave starts.

Photography & Image Rights Official photographers may capture images for social media, promotional materials and sponsor platforms. Participants may request removal of images or withdraw future consent by contacting info@neopentchallenge.com. Data protection enquiries should also be directed to this address. Complaints may be made to the Data Protection Commission.

General NeoPent Challenge is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. Participants and spectators must wear suitable clothing and follow all event rules or risk removal without refund. Prices are in Euros and statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Privacy NeoPent Challenge complies with GDPR. Personal data is used only for event administration and communications and is handled securely. Full details are available in the Privacy Statement. Data collected during the event may be shared with our academic partners.  This data will be anonymous and will not include any identifying information 

Changes & Governing Law NeoPent Challenge may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the website. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, with disputes subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
